Railroad spikes (set of 4) may seem like an unlikely magic tool, but their use to protect your home is well known.
These “Home Defense Peaks” were ritually blessed during the corresponding moon phase.
The magical properties of thorns are based on their role as anchors, the time they performed this mission, and the fact that they are made of iron.
Cold iron is believed to repel negative energy. And on a braver level, there is a belief that ghosts or spirits cannot cross iron, which is why many ancient cemeteries were built with iron fences around them. Wrought iron may have been placed around family graves and mausoleums for the same purpose, mainly to preserve peace.
Ritual-sanctified railroad spikes are New Orleans’ ancient way of protecting their home or workplace from unwanted spirits, curses, and negative energies.
Working ritual:
Clean and renovate your home or business.
Sprinkle a stick of sage, lavender, or juniper in every room in your home. Alternatively, you can burn the sweetgrass if you don’t like the smell of the stains.
Sprinkle a mixture of salt and water in every room of the house to cleanse it.
Repeat this process outside your home.
Drive one (4) railroad pin (blessed spike for home protection) into the ground at each corner of your home or property. When hammering nails into the ground, be specific about what you want to protect yourself from.
Your home is now clean, tidy and protected.
